Plano Convex Lenses have a positive focal length with one side being convex and the other side being flat, which will focus light into a single point, making it suitable for imaging, beam collimation, and other applications. To minimize spherical aberration, plano-convex lenses should be incident on the lens surface when the lens is used for collimating beam focusing; When used for point light collimation, the beam should be incident on the plane.

UV fused silica has high transmittance in the deep UV wavelength range and produces almost no laser-induced fluorescence, making it particularly suitable for applications from UV to near-infrared bands. In addition, UV fused silica has better uniformity and a lower coefficient of thermal expansion compared to K9.
