UV Fused Silica Double Convex Lenses have a positive focal length and are commonly used in imaging relay systems and for imaging objects with limited conjugation distances, and are most suitable for focusing divergent beams when the object is on either side of the lens and the conjugate ratio (i.e., the ratio of image distance to object distance) between 0.2 and 5.
UV biconvex lenses are based on UV fused silica, which is ideal for applications in the UV to near-infrared bands due to its high transmittance in the deep UV region and its very low fluorescence level compared to natural quartz with little to no laser-induced fluorescence. In addition, compared with K9 glass, it has a wider spectral range (185-2100nm), better homogeneity, and a lower coefficient of thermal expansion.
