       Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) Double Convex Lenses have a positive focal length and are commonly used in imaging relay systems and for imaging objects at limited conjugation distances, and are most suitable for focusing divergent beams when the object is on either side of the lens and the conjugate ratio (i.e., the ratio of image distance to object distance) is between 0.2 and 5.

Zinc selenide biconvex lenses are based on zinc selenide, which has the characteristics of low absorption, thermal shock resistance, wide transmission band (600nm-16μm), and low absorption in the red light part of the visible spectrum, so it is often used in optical systems that combine CO2 lasers (operating at 10.6μm) with inexpensive helium-neon lasers.
