       Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) Double Concave Lenses have a negative focal length and can diverge a parallel beam to the virtual focus, making it an excellent choice for diverging convergent beams and for relay imaging systems.

ZnSe biconcave lenses are based on zinc selenide, which has low absorption, thermal shock resistance, wide transmission band (600nm-16μm), and low absorption in the red part of the visible spectrum, so it is often used in optical systems that combine CO2 lasers (operating at 10.6μm) with inexpensive helium-neon lasers.
