TPX Lenses are a type of lens applied to the terahertz band. Terahertz waves generally refer to electromagnetic waves of 0.1THz-10THz, with a wavelength of 0.3mm-3mm, between microwave and infrared, and are often used for substance identification or non-destructive testing. The metamaterials with good transmittance in the terahertz band mainly include high-resistance silicon and polymer materials (Teflon, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polymethylpentene (TPX), etc.), among which TPX terahertz lens has the best performance. There are many types of terahertz lenses, the common ones are plano-convex aspherical lenses (most of the lenses of Menlo are like this), cone lenses (used to generate Bézier beams), spiral phase plates, column lenses, multi-dome lenses, Fresnel lenses (used to reduce thickness), etc. TPX aspherical lenses are particularly suitable for terahertz waves emitted by the PCA800 THz antenna, and are easier to align and have higher beam quality than off-axis parabolic mirrors.
Terahertz lenses are widely used in terahertz spectrometers, terahertz imaging systems, terahertz research and other products and related fields, playing a collimating focusing role, or reverse testing. Dimension-labs offers a wide range of TPX lenses (specific sizes and parameters can be filtered from the details below) to meet the variety of applications you need.
