Dimension-Labs Adjustable Focus Collimators are designed for collimation of fiber output light, and include an aspherical lens with a reflection enhancement coating, and three different sizes of aspherical lenses can be mounted in the same mechanical sleeve for collimating lasers with different beam diameters. By adjusting the distance between the aspherical lens and the fiber optic endface, it is possible to compensate for focal length changes or re-collimate at the desired wavelength and distance. It can also be used to adjust the divergence angle of the beam at the same wavelength, and apply the divergence and focus of space laser.
