The dielectric partial reflective film on the front surface of the Wedged Beamsplitter provided by Dimension-Labs determines the spectral ratio, and the back surface is wedge-shaped or anti-reflection coating can be used to reduce ghosting and interference effects. The coating on the beamsplitter mirror is optimized for a 45° angle of incidence (AOI) and has long-term stability.

To reduce unwanted interference effects (such as ghosting) caused by the interaction of reflected light from the front and back surfaces of the optics, a 30-arc wedge surface is added to the spectroscopic wedge.
