概述
The function of the depolarizer is to convert polarized light into non-polarized light, and achromatic depolarizer is mainly used to convert polarized beams into random polarized beams. After the linear polarization light of a monochromatic light source passes through the achromatic depolarizer, its polarization state will change spatially. After the linear polarization light of a broadband light source passes through the achromatic depolarizer, its polarization state will change spatially with different wavelengths.
The achromatic depolarizer consists of two crystalline quartz light wedges glued or glued, one of which is twice as thick as the other. The optical axis of each optical wedge is parallel to the optical surface, and the angle between the optical axes of the two optical wedges is 45 degrees. This makes it possible to use the optical axis of the achromatic depolarizer without placing it at a specific angle, which is especially useful in applications where the initial polarization state of light is unknown or changes over time.
Dimension-Labs offers a wide range of achromatic depolarizers (specific types and parameters can be filtered in the details below).
