Dimension-labs' Aspherical Low Power Series Fiber Collimators feature 6mm diameter, 8mm or 15mm LED arced, diffraction-limited aspherical lenses with FC/PC, FC/APC, or SMA interfaces that can be used to collimate divergent light output from single- or multimode fiber patch cords with diffraction-limited performance. The wavelengths that can be collimated range from 350 nm to 1700 nm, and because aspherical lenses produce chromatic aberration, the effective focal length (EFL) is related to the wavelength (the design wavelength is the wavelength corresponding to the ideal beam divergence angle).

The fiber collimator shell is made of stainless steel or aluminum alloy, and the focus can be fine-tuned by loosening the screws on the side, and the product is small, compact, and easy to integrate, and can be used in a variety of optical applications, especially jumpers that can be connected to fiber optic output optical power of less than 10W.
