概述

  • Dimensions (mm): 12.7× 12.7, 25×25, 50×50
  • Ultraviolet, visible and near-infrared wavelengths are available
  • A variety of diffraction angles are available
  • Suitable for fixed encoder applications
  • Insensitive to polarization

Transmission Gratings are ideal for fixed grating applications due to their simple design, such as spectrometers. The incident beam is dispersed at a fixed angle on the back of the grating.

In order to maintain high diffraction efficiency, transmission gratings do not have a high density. The diffraction angle increases as the density of the notch increases, and the refractive index of the substrate material limits the transmittance at long wavelengths, resulting in reduced performance. The dispersive nature of gratings makes them suitable for compact systems using small detector arrays. Transmission gratings are relatively less affected by polarization.

The grating is susceptible to damage, can only be taken when necessary, and can only be clamped by the edges. Rubber gloves or finger gloves should be worn to prevent dirt from touching the surface of the grating. Purified dry air or nitrogen should be used to purge the dust on the grating and not directly contact the grating.
