Dimension-Labs offers the Dot Array Aluminum Coated Beamsplitter Plate with an aluminum film on both K9 and UV fused silica substrates. Aluminized fractional splitters are suitable for a wide range of wavelengths and are insensitive to angle of incidence. Aluminized fractional spectrometers can be used in a wide range of angles of incidence due to their metallic aluminum film.

The reflected light part of the aluminized fractional splitter is the reflection of the aluminum film fraction, and the transmitted light is transmitted by the K9 or ultraviolet fused silica substrate in the uncoated area, that is, the incident light will be reflected by the part of the beamsplitter coated with aluminum film on the beam splitter and transmitted through the uncoated part.

The aluminum film is distributed on the substrate in a regularly repeating array of dots, giving the beamsplitter the appearance of a "polka point". The dot matrix consists of small 0.1×0.1mm aluminized squares.

The angle between the aluminized dot matrix splitter and the incident light is 45° when used. For K9 aluminized fractional splitters, the beam diameter needs to be greater than 5mm; For UV fused silica aluminized fractional splitters, the beam diameter needs to be greater than 2mm.
