概述
The acousto-optic modulators (AOMs) provided by Dimension-Labs allow for intensity modulation of light, with modulation rates far exceeding those of mechanical shutters, even reaching up to 200 MHz. Constructed from TeO₂ material, these AOMs feature a high laser damage threshold and are primarily used in the following fields:
● Optical switching
● Laser wavelength shifting
● Laser Doppler velocimetry
● Laser Doppler vibrometry
● Laser linewidth measurement
● Lidar (laser radar)
● Vibration sensing measurements via DVS (Distributed Vibration Sensing) and B-OTDR (Brillouin Optical Time Domain Reflectometry)
