Pockels Cell is an electro-optic modulation device used for rapidly adjusting the shape and polarization state of laser pulses. It consists of a high-refractive-index crystal (such as KD*P) and two parallel electrodes. When an electric field is applied, it can alter the group delay or phase difference of light, thereby enabling the regulation of laser pulses.Pockels Cells are characterized by fast response speed, high power handling capability, and excellent linearity, making them widely used in fields such as Q-switching, regenerative amplification, pulse selection, cavity dumping, and high-frequency optical switching.
