K9 Plano Concave Lenses have a negative focal length and are able to diverge a collimating beam, and to minimize spherical aberration, the curved surface of the lens should be oriented towards the light source. It can also compensate for spherical aberrations caused by other lenses in the optical system.
K9 flat concave lenses are based on RoHS-compliant K9 glass, which has excellent broad-spectral transmission characteristics (high transmittance at 350nm-2000nm wavelengths) and high hardness, so it can withstand a variety of physical or chemical stimuli, so it is often used as a substrate for a variety of optical components.
